Craig Fallon: A Legend in Judo
Craig Fallon is remembered as one of Britain’s greatest judoka. His remarkable achievements include becoming World Champion (2005), European Champion (2006), Commonwealth Champion (2002), and competing as a double Olympian.
Tragically, Craig passed away in 2019 after struggles with his mental health. Beyond his sporting success, Craig was known as a shy, humble, and unassuming gentleman—his character proving just as inspiring as his accomplishments on the tatami.
Following his passing, Craig’s close friend and long-time training partner Gavin Davies founded The Craig Fallon Foundation. Soon after, Lions Judo coach and fellow training partner Jagjit Singh Khera offered his support in organising the inaugural Craig Fallon Cup in 2022.
The Craig Fallon Foundation is dedicated to: Promoting mental wellbeing, supporting mental health charities and helping current and retiring judo athletes
If you are struggling with your mental health, please remember you are not alone. Talk to someone you trust and seek support—help is always available.
